Taxonomic Databases Working Group (TDWG) Core Ontology meeting

Ontologies are seen as being important in the taxonomic community to enable unambiguous communication regarding objects and concepts within the community and will aid reuse and sharing of data. This makes ontologies a fundamental approach to exploiting and sharing scientific data. This meeting is being hosted by the eSI as a Workshops related to exploiting diverse sources of scientific data theme in collaboration with the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF) and the Taxonomic Databases Working Group (TDWG).
